Lindsay and Paul’s Fall Wedding

By Terry Meadows

In 2012, Lindsay and Paul met at a "Friendsgiving" dinner where Paul, humorously dressed as Jesus, instantly connected with Lindsay. Initially just friends, they grew closer by 2014 after encouragement from a mutual friend.

Their next four years were filled with adventures across eighteen states, enjoying everything from hiking and camping to cultural festivities in various cities. By 2018, they embraced their greatest adventure: parenthood, which solidified their bond amidst global changes.

In 2021, at another Thanksgiving dinner, Paul proposed to Lindsay in front of her family, setting the stage for their next chapter: marriage.

"We loved the idea of a destination wedding that was close to home. Knowing that the vendors were all inclusive made us feel confident that the weekend would go smoothly as they are used to working together. That’s what we liked from our research but once we got there to take a tour and could feel the vibe of the venue is when we really fell in love. The grounds are etherial and the staff was warm and welcoming. We liked the casual & rustic feel with the option to dress it up if and how we wanted. The best part of everything though, was the ease of planning that came from their highly organized and prepared timeline and team."

"It could not have been more streamlined and easy. They gave us a timeline spreadsheet that started from the tour of the venue all the way through packing up to go home Sunday after the wedding. It was almost like a fill in the blanks with all of my customizations, which made it simple without any headaches. That being said- another highlight is how the lack of stress from planning provided me the capacity to soak in and enjoy my engagement."

"We wanted to feel like we were among the stars and bring our outdoorsy nature into the vibe of our wedding- The venue naturally provided that."

What advice would you give to other wedding couples?

"I would suggest pushing the limits and dream big! Just because it’s not on the menu or typical plan, doesn’t mean they can’t accommodate or be creative about things. Also, trust the process with the photographer- do the engagement session, take their advice and embrace the love."
