Michelle and Connor’s Elopement

By Terry Meadows

Although Connor and Michelle both reside in Northern Virginia, their paths first crossed during a business fraternity trip in New York City. They quickly forged a strong friendship, engaging in daily conversations. Their relationship blossomed into romance, sparking a series of joint travels that deepened their bond. Both share a passion for exploring the countryside, steering clear of bustling cities, and indulging in culinary delights. Their adventures led them to Croatia, where Connor proposed to Michelle in the picturesque city of Rovinj.

Michelle and Connor chose the path of simplicity after facing the disappointment of postponing and canceling their wedding twice due to COVID. Opting not to navigate the complexities of planning yet another ceremony, they embraced the intimacy of elopement. Their special day, defined by its understated elegance, perfectly captured their strong bond. Accompanied by close family and their faithful companion, Teddy, their celebration was infused with an extra layer of warmth and affection

"We loved that Zion Springs offered everything a typical wedding would have, such as the walking down the 'aisle', having an officiant, beautiful florals (which I still have on display in our living room), a wedding cake, our first meal together, first dance, amazing photos and videos...they had it all and best part was planning was so easy! "We wanted to make the day special to us, and that's where Zion Springs came in.  We love the outdoors and what stood out the most was that they were able to help us plan a fun and intimate day for us on the mountaintop and we were able to include our pup, Teddy."
