Alex and Jennifer met at one of their favorite places, the gym. Their first date involved grabbing Chick-Fil-A after a workout, and they promptly planned their second date for the following day. By their third date, both felt a special connection and soon began spending most of their time together, exploring Washington DC's offerings and trying top restaurants in the area.
Alex proposed to Jennifer at the Tidal Basin in Washington, DC during the peak bloom of the cherry blossoms. He had masterfully kept the proposal a surprise, catching Jennifer completely off guard. He chose a picturesque day for the proposal.
The Invitation
"That Zion Springs provides all the vendors for you. So many of the other places I looked you had to contact the vendors yourself, and the venues only had certain vendors that were "approved" to work with, and you either couldn't work with anyone outside that list or it would cost more if you wanted to. Zion Springs having everything in house, and not just that they had them, but that they were all so amazing made Zion Springs stand out and be the only right choice!"

"I had always wanted an outdoor, barn type wedding, and the Zion Springs property delivers just that. The one fear of course is always weather, but even if that happened Zion Springs had a backup plan and the ability to move inside, which was also a beautiful setting."
The Ceremony
Processional Music: "Wildest Dreams"
"The whole Zion Springs property is beautiful, there isn't a bad place to take pictures. Our day was a little rainy, so just having Bethany to know what spots would look good, and when we could go sneak in some outside pictures without getting wet was great!"
The Reception
First Dance: "What My World Spins Around" by Jordan Davis
Dinner: Smoked Chicken Thighs, Brisket, Smoked Gouda Mac & Cheese | Tiramisu
The Cake: Red Velvet with Cream Cheese Frosting
"We loved the brisket! Alex in particular wanted some good southern bbq served at our wedding, and the brisket was perfect for that and the mac and cheese went so well with it."
"Having the ability to have guests stay over at Zion Springs made things super convenient. The brunch the next morning was an added touch that went above and beyond, and getting to sit there drinking coffee while rewatching our end of night video was just the best."
What advice would you give to other wedding couples?
"You cannot go wrong with Zion Springs! They make the whole process enjoyable, which is something not a lot of people say about wedding planning. Any question or concern you might have they have an answer and solution for, and they truly do make sure you have the best day ever."
