Emily and Casey’s Summer Wedding

By Terry Meadows

Emily and Casey met in New York City, where they lived a block away from each other on the Upper East Side. They were introduced by a mutual friend at one of Emily’s infamous D1 apartment parties. Over the next few months their relationship blossomed over pints at their local bar, NYC adventures with friends, and trips to HomeGoods. When the cats and plants began to slowly find their way into Casey’s bachelor pad, he knew he was a goner. After four years of dating, Casey decided it was time to take the next step. On a trip to an important and sentimental spot for Emily, Casey popped the question.

"Having all of our family and wedding party staying on-site was one of the best parts of the package. It made travel arrangements so much easier and we got to spend more time with our closest loved ones throughout the weekend."

"Our guests STILL talk about the Grilled Cheese Sandwiches that we had as the late night favor. More than a few of our friends who have gotten married since our wedding have "stolen" that idea for their own ceremony!"

"We loved the photos in the small grove of trees as well as the pictures on the hill of just the two of us right after the ceremony. We have a bunch printed and framed on our walls at home!"

What advice would you give to other wedding couples?

"Enjoy the process! It goes by so quickly and at first it feels like you have a million little things to consider but we wouldn't have changed a thing about the lead up to our wedding and that is largely thanks to the amazing team at Zion Springs.

Feel free to bounce the craziest ideas off of the planning staff - we had some fun/funky requests (from big smoke machines to needing help picking music - thanks Hutch!). The planning staff never said no to us and they always found amazing solutions to make our dream wedding come true!"
